Leadership in Action

Core Values and Mission

I am passionate about fostering innovation and meaningful connections in the fields of hospitality, tourism, housing, and heritage preservation. My mission is to create vibrant communities and a lasting legacy while promoting sustainable growth and cultural enrichment. Whether leading an organization through transformative change or advocating for systemic improvements, I thrive on turning challenges into opportunities.

Beyond Work

Outside of the boardroom, I recharge by getting out into the world, hiking, boating, gold panning, or exploring remote places most people scroll past. I’m drawn to challenge. Curiosity drives me, but execution is where I live.

I stay grounded through community, supporting local causes, showing up for people, and occasionally dragging friends and family into wildly ambitious projects “for fun.” I care deeply about impact, whether it’s behind the scenes or on center stage.

I value clarity, loyalty, and momentum. I believe in building things that last and laughing while doing it.

This site covers my work. This page is just me. Welcome.

Tech Side

Tech is my hobby, my toolkit, and occasionally my coping mechanism. I’ve been building websites for over 20 years. Sometimes to launch a project, sometimes just because the template annoyed me. I mess around with AI tools for fun and learned Morse code just to see if I could. I don’t just use tech, I test it, tweak it, and teach others how to stop being afraid of it. It might sound like work to some, but for me, this is the hobby.

Educational

I’m also a lifelong learner who collects licenses and certifications the way some people collect fridge magnets. But I don’t just learn, I teach too. In 2015 and 2016, I taught a series of hands-on professional development courses at Okanagan College, covering everything from social media strategy to WordPress and even how to actually use your Android phone without rage-quitting. These days, I’m teaching myself Morse code for no practical reason other than curiosity. I’m usually dabbling in something like compliance regulations, emergency radio protocols, obscure software tools, leadership frameworks… you name it.
